Position Overview:
The Virtual Patient Concierge/Medical Assistant will provide scheduling, verify patients’ out of network benefits, fax completed evaluations/Plan of Care with physicians, and communicate with office management at physician offices to obtain prescription information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to the following):- Accepts telephone calls, tasks, Rx renewal requests.
- Call insurance companies prior to patients’ Initial Evaluation to verify patients’ out of network benefits for physical therapy.
- Fax appropriate documents to physicians (Initial Evaluation and Plan of Care)
- Responds to patient inquiries on a timely basis with accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Provide patient appointment and procedure scheduling.
- Reschedule patient appointments as needed.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, Management Staff, and Physicians.
- Provide procedure instructions, communicate patient financial responsibility.
- Demonstrate professionalism in appearance and actions with patients, staff, Physicians and Administrators at all times.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information.

Expected hours of work: ~5-7 hours per week
