Barnard Alliance for Healthcare and Humanitarian Aid aims to unite the BC/CU community through service, offering students opportunities to address healthcare issues through fundraising. We organize semester-long fundraisers to support charities that provide healthcare aid during crises, both domestically and internationally.
Timeline of BAHHA’s accomplishments over the course of the past few years:
2020: founded to raise awareness on healthcare inequalities during the pandemic thru educational posts on social media and fundraising efforts for the Association to Benefit Children, which provided medical relief during the pandemic
2021: fundraised for the UNHCR to support vaccine roll-out, medical supply distribution, and increasing WASH
2022: fundraised for the International Rescue Committee to provide relief to refugees at the Polish border. Fundraised for Feed the Children.
2023: fundraised for Turkish Philanthropy Funds (providing relief to those affected by the Turkey-Syria earthquake).
