STEP-UP (Summer Training and Enrichment Program for Underrepresented Persons in Medicine) is a highly selective, intensive and comprehensive summer enrichment program for students from groups traditionally underrepresented in medicine (underrepresented minorities, URMs, as defined by the AAMC). The purpose of this program is to expose students to clinical medicine and prepare them for a career in the health professions. Students will have the opportunity to receive MCAT preparation, learn suturing and venipuncture skills, as well as participate in exciting workshops on various topics. Additionally, students will learn from Sidney Kimmel Medical College faculty, residents, and medical students while developing lasting relationships with their peers in pursuit of a common goal. Housing will be provided!
