A representative of the Association of American Medical
Colleges (AAMC) will conduct an information session on the MCAT, the
standardized medical college admissions test.
The representative will discuss content and format, testing
policies, resources for studying, scoring, and what to expect on test day. This
is an essential introduction to a key part of every medical school application.

This panel of core faculty members in the Columbia
University Masters of Bioethics Program will provide an overview of key
bioethics principles, concepts, and approaches to problems crucial for
premedical students.
This presentation can be extremely helpful for students who
will be participating in multiple mini-interviews as part of medical school
interviews and for those working as medical students and as physicians.
Increasingly, health care trainees and providers confront a wide range of
dilemmas in making decisions – including when to start or terminate various
treatments at the end-of-life, what genetic tests to order for patients,
whether to screen embryos for certain mutations or traits, and what to say to
parents who don’t want to vaccinate their children. The panelists will explore
with attendees ways to think about and address these bioethics dilemmas.

This presentation will provide aspiring physicians the
information they need apply to the nations’ 31 osteopathic medical schools and
their four branch campuses as well as a demonstration of osteopathic
manipulation treatment by Dr. Christopher Kyriakides, D.O.
It will also provide an overall insider’s perspective on the
growth rate over the past eight years and current data and trends in the
osteopathic profession. Additionally, the 2016 American Association of Colleges
of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOMAS) application will be showcased. Students will
be able ask questions while getting an insider’s presentation on important
application areas.
