SUNY Optometry is excited to announce that CSTEP Spring Internship and Summer Academic Program applications are now available. The internship program is a great opportunity for pre-health students to get hands-on experience, explore the optometry field and participate in professional development workshops and activities. The Summer Academic Program introduces students to the optometry school curriculum, while offering two credits which can be used as elective credits upon enrolling at the College of Optometry. Students may choose to apply to either or both of the programs.
The New York State eligibility requirements to qualify for CSTEP are:
- Be a New York State resident
- Full-time college or graduate student
- Identify as a member of a historically underrepresented group in STEM (African American, Hispanic/Latinx, American Indian or Alaska Native) or be economically disadvantaged as per New York State's Income Eligibility Criteria
The deadline to apply is Friday, April 10, 2020.
