The New York Medical College chapter of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA) is proud to present a unique opportunity for students to gain more knowledge on the field of medicine through our annual “Medical Student for a Day” program.
We pride our organization’s mission of academic excellence and community service, and one of our major goals is to provide support and opportunities to present and future underrepresented medical students. Through our programs, we want to encourage and inspire students to be brilliant, unique, competent, knowledgeable, and diverse contributors to the medical field.
"Medical Student for a Day” is a unique opportunity to experience the life of a medical student. Unlike in previous years, this upcoming Med Student for a Day event will be done virtually through Zoom. The program will be held on Wednesday, February 9th from 8:30 AM - 3:15 PM. The tentative schedule for the day entails talks with our very own deans on professionalism, a successful med school application, and success in medical school. In addition to this, you will get the opportunity to learn about the day-to-day life of first through fourth year medical students. You will also get to engage in a panel session with our very own medical students. It will be a day where you get a firsthand look at the medical student perspective, especially in a post-COVID world.
If you are interested in participating in this program, please complete the following short and concise application ASAP. The deadline for the application is Monday, January 31st 2022 at 11:59PM.
