The AAMC Group on Research, Education, and Training (GREAT) Outreach Committee will host Virtual Q&A sessions focused on biomedical graduate and MD-PhD programs on Sept. 21, 5 p.m. and Oct. 13, 4 p.m. (All times in ET).
Students will be able to connect with program directors at institutions from across the country to learn more about biomedical graduate and MD-PhD programs and careers. This is an opportunity for students to practice their networking skills before Fall conferences. Attendees can bring questions and concerns to these interactive sessions.
We'll be covering these topics for discussion:
- Writing strong personal statements
- Obtaining great letters of recommendation Letters
- What makes a school/program the best fit for YOU?
- What is best for you – a direct path to graduate school or a gap year? Direct to grad school or gap years?
- Tips for acing your interview skills
- MD-PhD programs
