Research Assistant Position - NYU Langone

Dr. Mia Minen, a Barnard alumna, is Chief of Headache Research at NYU Langone Health. She runs several studies and is looking for Barnard students with a strong passion for clinical research. Applicants should be excellent team players but should also be able to work well independently. They must be professional and be able to show empathy. The position is unpaid, will be full time over the summer (some nights and weekends will be expected), and will continue into the academic year for a minimum of 8 hours a week.

Many of Dr. Minen's previous research assistants have published with her, and presented findings at national conferences. This is a unique opportunity because students will have encounters with physicians and with patients, and students will learn a little about how health systems work. The research is suited to those interested in neurology, psychiatry/psychology, epidemiology/population health and mHealth.

To apply, please send your CV, cover letter and a writing sample to Mia.Minen@nyumc.org. Preferences will be given to students with some prior research and/or statistical experience.
