Job Opportunity: Research Project Manager at The Family Institute at Northwestern University

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Research Project Manager is a full-time (40 hours/week) entry-level position to oversee daily operations and assist with clinical interviews for an intervention study and a longitudinal study. The Project Manager will work closely with the Director of Translational Science, and members of the Family Institute on three studies. The first study is a multi-site RCT testing the processes and mechanisms of change accounting for significant reductions in intimate partner violence in an
ACT-based intervention. The second study is a pilot test of a novel prevention program for young couples that includes attention to multiple domains of relationship functioning (e.g., conflict, support, emotional intimacy, sex). The third study is a multi-wave, longitudinal study to assess whether and how to adapt our current models and interventions for couple functioning in minority populations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage daily operations including staff supervision
2. Conduct clinical interviews
3. Train team members on protocols and clinical interviews
4. Data management and analysis
5. Assist in submission of grants (including drafting grant budgets)
6. Assist in submission of presentations and publications
7. Manage IRB submissions and IRB training across the lab and different projects
8. Assist in scheduling participants, trainings, and other research meetings
9. Assist with processing payments for research participants
10. Administrative duties for other research projects at The Family Institute (i.e., managing or assisting with IRB submissions, assisting with and managing applications to do research at The Family Institute)
11. Manage administrative groups (e.g., clinical research interest group, research oversight committee)

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
2. Strong organizational skills, planning abilities and attention to detail
3. Supervisory skills
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment within a multidisciplinary research team
5. Ability to multi-task work projects, managing several projects simultaneously
6. Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate participant visits
Minimum Hiring Specifications:
1. BA/BS Degree
2. Minimum of one year of prior experience with clinical research
3. Experience with project coordination and IRB/grant submissions desirable

Event: Spring Impressions Program Columbia Dental

We would like to invite you to this year's Student National Dental Association's (SNDA) Spring Impressions Program with Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Usually, this program is held online, however due to the current pandemic, we will be hosting this event virtually through Zoom.  This unique opportunity offers a fun and interactive day with current dental students and dental faculty members. If you are interested in exploring the field of dentistry and/or learning how to apply to dental school, then the Impressions Program is perfect for you!  

Participants will be able to hear about the lives of current dental students, learn about the application and interview processes, and ask any questions about dentistry and dental school at large. The Armed Forces will also present on scholarship opportunities during and after dental school. Please join us for this fun-filled day!
