Mentor-In-Residence: Yasmin Khakoo, Child Neurology Director at MSKCC

Are you interested in meeting with Yasmin Khakoo, Child Neurology Director and Attending Pediatric Neurologist/Neuro-oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, on Friday, November 22nd? The Mentor-in-Residence program provides students with an opportunity to learn more about the industry, gain insights about possible career paths, and ask questions only an industry-expert can answer. Columbia Synapse Event 11/8/19

Columbia University Synapse hosts experts in neuroscience and medicine whose research focuses on the science and treatment of brain injury and recovery. In a panel-style discussion, Dr. Steven G. Kernie, Dr. Lauren Oberlin, and Dr. James M. Noble share their research and clinical experiences related to brain injury and, specifically, to concussions. They address the brain’s remarkable ability to repair itself and how this can be facilitated by interventional measures.
