Course Fee: $1500 + $28 for State Exam (if not from NY, extra charge of $98 for the NREMT exam)

Description: 

*Classes will be mostly online with five in-person sessions for skills*


Winter Break Intensive Course (Y#37):

  • 12/26 - 1/5  (Zoom sessions 10am-2pm)
  • In-person sessions will be from 1/7 -1/11. Practical State Exam 1/12.
  • Location will be at the YU midtown Manhattan campus located at 245 Lexington Avenue, or at our satellite location on Broadway*
  • *Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, the dates and place are subject to change
  • Upon successful completion of the course, you'll get an EMT-B license from the NYS-DOH and BLS (CPR) by the AHA. You will also be eligible to take the national online NREMT exam in order to become nationally certified and practice in your home state.

Qualifications: Must be 17 years old. No need to be a resident or have a driver's license.

Clinical Volunteer Opportunity: Pediatric Endocrinology at CUIMC

We wish to advise you that we have a volunteer position available immediately for Seniors, Post-Baccalaureate Students, and recent Graduates, in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology. The volunteer will provide assistance on multiple ongoing clinical research protocols. Significant duties will include keeping records of test project results, conducting online literature research, and assisting with manuscript/grant proposal preparation.

Volunteers may have the opportunity to observe in the Pediatric Endocrinology Clinic and attend weekly clinical rounds in addition to their volunteer time. Volunteers must be willing to commit to 8 hours a week. Hours can be split across two days. 

 

Please note, this is a non-compensable volunteer opportunity.

 

Qualifications:

Volunteers should have or be enrolled in coursework in chemistry, biology, physics or a related science or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

 

The applicant must demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate, an ability to perform work in a neat and orderly manner, and an ability to learn and adapt to new techniques.

 

Proficiency with computer operations and software programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
