Day Dermatology and Aesthetics
Location: NYC, 10 E 70th St
Hours per Week: Full Time, M-F
Paid: $18-23/hr
Dr. Doris Day is a highly respected dermatologist and medical journalist whose expertise is regularly featured in print, online, radio, and television. Her private dermatology practice is located in New York's Upper East Side. Dr. Day's specialties include aesthetic, laser, and surgical dermatology. She is a master injector and has been awarded and recognized by countless aesthetic and medical dermatology organizations.
Day Dermatology & Aesthetics is seeking a Patient Coordinator. The Patient Coordinator performs front-line reception, registration, administrative and/or billing activities to contribute to an optimal customer service experience for patients and efficient patient flow for providers. The coordinators are the face of the practice and help engage and make the patient experience exceptional.
Candidates must:
- Be able to handle a high-volume office with multiple providers, operating a multi-line phone system.
- Have a serious drive to provide excellent customer service to our patients with a focused attention to detail.
- Be capable of juggling and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and be able to seamlessly transition into our current staff.
- Have excellent communication skills and be able to deal efficiently and courteously with all patients providing a very high level of customer service.
- Demonstrate the ability to be a team player and perform duties that are delegated to him/her.
- Displays a positive attitude and flexibility in changing situations.
Responsibilities:
- Gathering, updating and maintaining the patient demographic information.
- Scanning insurance cards, picture ID or other identification cards and prior medical records into the patient’s medical chart.
- Taking patient payments and past due balances.
- Handle confidential information and patient medical records.
- Scheduling appointments for multiple providers within the practice.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in an administrative role preferred, Healthcare industry a plus
- Strong computer skills
- Previous experience using computerized appointment scheduling systems and/or electronic Medical Record (eMR) system preferred.
- Knowledge of CPT, and diagnostic coding preferred.
- However, we are willing to train the right candidate with an interest in skincare and dermatology.
