TIMS Summer Research Program

The Tri-Institutional Minority Society (TIMS) Summer Program in Undergraduate Research (SPUR) is a paid 10-week summer research program for NYC undergraduate students from diverse and underserved backgrounds. Our program is designed as a stepping-stone for students who are interested in pursuing a career in the biomedical field but have limited research experience. TIMS SPUR students join laboratories within the Tri-I, including Weill Cornell Medicine, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Rockefeller University. Throughout the summer, students also engage in weekly research seminars, journal club sessions, scientific writing workshops, professional development events, and an introductory bioinformatics course. At the culmination of the program, students share their work through oral and poster presentations. 2023 program dates are May 31 to August 11.
