NPMS Welcomes New Students to Barnard!

The Network of Pre-Medical Students (NPMS) is excited to welcome new pre-medical students to Barnard!

NPMS strives to provide the pre-medical students at Barnard with a sense of community. As a registered member of the Student National Medical Association, the organization supports and encourages a diverse group of students, including students from underrepresented minority groups to pursue their endeavors in the medical field. Through our volunteer work, discussions, and panels, we hope to create the next generation of culturally competent female physicians committed to improving all aspects of medicine, including patient care in underserved communities.

In the past, we have hosted events such as Dinner with Doctors, where students get the opportunity to network with local physicians, Medical Student Panels, and Volunteer Fairs, where students can learn about pre-health-oriented volunteer opportunities in the city.

Students interested in joining our organization should fill out this interest form: https://goo.gl/forms/SaswmYx0M9sQIca82

Any questions should be directed to the organization's email (barnardcollegemaps@gmail.com) or President Abigail Kempf's email (amk2295@barnard.edu).

Request for Pre-Med Peer Mentors

Hi Barnard Pre-Meds!

We hope you all had relaxing and fulfilling summers. NPMS is gearing up for the 2018-2019 academic year and we are looking for students to serve as mentors to incoming pre-med students. Our mentoring program went well last year and we are hoping to make it even better this year. If you are interested, please fill out this google form: https://goo.gl/forms/O3kU5UP12agxsw5l1.

The format of the mentorship will consist of three events that will take place during the first month of school where you will be matched with students with similar interests/potential majors as you. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out! Thanks so much for your help - we can't create a supportive pre-med community at Barnard without you all!
