Job Opportunity: Research Assistant for Cognitive Behavior Development, Icahn School of Medicine

Morishita lab (http://www.morishita-lab.com/) has openings for two full-time research assistant positions to participate in the studies of cortical mechanisms of cognitive/social behavior development relevant to neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders. We use mouse models and take an integrated approach, combining molecular, anatomical, electrophysiological, and behavior methodologies. These positions provide the opportunity to gain significant research in an interdisciplinary lab environment, as well as to contribute to papers.

Research Assistant for Cognitive Behavior Development: This position focuses on rodent behavioral study of cognitive circuits relevant to neurodevelopmental disorders. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: conducting touchscreen based cognitive testings, data analysis, histologist characterization, and exposure to advanced circuit manipulations and measurements. Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences required; background in neuroscience preferred. Minimum of 2 years of commitment is expected. A candidate is also expected to start no later than June 1st 2020.

Job Opportunity: Research Assistant Position mHealth and SMI at Butler Hospital

Job Description: Brown University-affiliated researchers working at Butler Hospital are seeking to hire a research assistant for a National Institute of Mental Health-funded study related to mHealth and severe mental illness. Responsibilities include recruiting and tracking subjects, screening electronic medical records, managing databases, preparing reports, and conducting research assessments with psychiatric patients. Additional duties include working with a multidisciplinary team conducting research in a psychiatric hospital setting. Skills using Microsoft Office, SPSS, and REDCap a plus.

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field required. Experience with
psychology research and/or working with psychiatric patients desirable.
