2026 Columbia University Medical School Fair

The 2026 Medical School Fair will be held in Lerner Hall on Columbia’s Morningside Heights Campus from 1-4 pm where pre-health students from all different universities in the city will have the chance to meet and engage directly with deans and representatives from medical school and other pre-health program committees. This year there will be nearly 50 MD, DO, Dental, and Physician’s Assistant programs participating in our event. There will also be MCAT prep tables, as well as various Masters programs in health fields such as Public Health and Nutrition.

Prior to the fair from 11 am - 12 pm will be a panel consisting of 5 deans of medical schools that is open to CUID holders only, aimed at demystifying the application process and allowing students some time for Q&A.

 Medical Assistant for Washington Square Dermatology
We are a busy dermatology practice in Greenwich Village in search of friendly, adaptable, dedicated, compassionate, and mature applicants for a full-time Medical Assistant position!
**Pre-Medical Students and Post Baccalaureate students are strongly encouraged to apply**
Our medical assistants are typically post-bac or gap year students that work with us for one, but preferably two years prior to going to medical or physician assistant school, as it is a wonderful opportunity to get direct patient care experience.

The focus of the practice is medical and cosmetic dermatology. Patients always come first, and our goal is to provide a pleasant and efficient experience from the moment they step into the office until the moment they leave. Our staff works to provide a positive experience and we are looking for someone to contribute to the team. 

Medical Assistants act as a liaison between the patient and the provider, and maximize the provider's time with the patient. They perform both clinical and administrative tasks to support the work of office provider.

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Electronic Chart Management
-Maintain daily schedule and limit patient wait time
-Serve as a liaison between providers and patients to provide proper information regarding diagnoses and treatment
-Assist providers in exam rooms (collect medical complaints and history, prepare for procedures and surgeries, assist with dressing and suture removal)
-Provide and relay accurate instructions and assistance to patients in regards to any inquires or medical conditions.
-Order supplies and stock exam rooms as needed
-Communicate with pharmacies and other medical professionals
-Assist with Front Desk Receptionist duties (checking patients in and out, verifying insurances, scheduling appointments)

Expected pay
20–30 USD per hour
