Barnard Biology Dept. Event Series: Academic Planning for STEM Coursework

Barnard's Biology Department will be hosting a week long of events from July 21st to 24th, all of which will be recorded if a student has a conflict at the event time. On Tues, the 21st at 3 pm EST the first meeting will be geared towards prospective majors/minors and anyone who needs to take the introductory sequence + genetics. Wednesday's 4 pm session will focus on upper-level lectures and labs, research, and senior capstone courses. Thursday's 3 pm session will be a general Q&A for the first hour, followed by a discussion on using Biology courses to fulfill pre-med/grad school requirements at 4pm. The Friday 3pm session will be a general Q&A for an hour.

Students interested in attending can RSVP by emailing Melissa Flores (mflores@barnard.edu) to request the link(s).  Please indicate which session(s) you are interested in attending in your message. The department welcomes questions in advance of the sessions so they are adequately prepared. The department will provide program planning packets on their Major Advising page by next Friday, July 17th. They encourage students to keep checking the CU Directory of Classes for the most up to date fall 2020 course information, in addition to their AY20-21 Course Offerings page which lists Biology courses for fall, spring, and summer. This page has the most up to date information (the rest of the website is in progress!).
