Applications are now open! Every summer, MMRI welcomes undergraduate, graduate, and medical students into our labs to experience what scientific research is really like. Applications for the 2027 Summer Fellowship Program are open now, and we'd love your help spreading the word. The Summer Fellowship is a 10-week, hands-on program here in Utica, NY. Fellows work side by side with MMRI scientists who are studying heart disease, autism, lupus, PTSD, and more. Students gain real-world lab experience, attend seminars, build a professional network, and finish the summer by presenting their own research. For many students, a summer spent in a lab helps them choose a path in medicine, research, or another science-related career.
