Summer College Intensive Program (SCIP)

The New York Methodist Hospital Department of Educational and Volunteer Resources is currently recruiting college students for our dynamic Summer College Intensive Program (SCIP)

For eight to ten weeks, from mid-June through the end of August, SCIP offers a combination of 12 hours per week of direct service to patients, additional opportunities for service in ancillary programs, lectures by physicians and other health care professionals, a variety of shadowing experiences, and reading and writing assignments.
Please visit the SCIP website for more details!

Who should Apply:
We are looking for committed and well-rounded college students, preferably completing sophomore or junior year, in pre-health career and nursing programs who are interested in an intense hospital experience that will enrich both their current education and their professional future.

How to Apply:
This is a highly competitive program, and we have a limited number of positions available. The application is currently open and will close February 1 at noon. Please visit the SCIP
page for a link to the application.

Due to the high number of applications we receive, we are unable to acknowledge every applicant. Only those selected for an interview will receive an email response. Students will be notified by mid-April if they have been accepted to the program.

*Please note: Students must have NYC accommodations to participate.
