Dr. Ira Goldberg is seeking a recent graduate to work in his basic science laboratory as a research technician and editor. The Goldberg Lab focuses on abnormalities of lipoprotein metabolism, macrovascular disease in diabetes, and the role of triglycerides in atherosclerosis.
Responsibilities include:
• Editing journal manuscripts, grant proposals, IRB documents, and other lab documents
• Editing PowerPoint presentations and creating figures
• Performing lab duties including qPCR, PCR cloning, genotyping, lipid assays, DNA synthesis, and mouse work (if comfortable)
• Coordinating departmental events such as Grand Rounds, research seminars, journal clubs, and guest lectures
Position Requirements
• Bachelor's degree
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Strong computer and data organization skills
• Experience working in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; experience in GraphpadPrism a plus
Time Commitment: Full-time, with a minimum commitment of one year.
