Morishita lab (http://www.morishita-lab.com/) has an opening for a full-time research assistant position to participate in the studies of cortical mechanisms of social circuit and behavior development relevant to neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders. We use mouse models and take an integrated approach, combining molecular, anatomical, electrophysiological, and behavior methodologies. See Yamamuro et al Nature Neuroscience 2020, Bicks et al Nature Communications 2020 for relevant work.
This position provides the opportunity to gain significant research in an interdisciplinary lab environment, as well as to contribute to papers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: conducting a variety of social behavior testings, data analysis, histologist characterization, and exposure to advanced circuit manipulations and measurements.
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences required; background in neuroscience preferred. We
