Job Opportunity: Research Coordinator, Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging Laboratory, Weill Cornell

Research coordinator sought for cardiovascular imaging lab, with focus on project management
and administrative oversight for multiple externally funded clinical research protocols. Key
responsibilities include study screening/enrollment related activities, scheduling of imaging
assessments and follow-up, research data collection, maintenance of study related regulatory
materials, and coordination of NIH grant submissions. High productivity lab with substantial
opportunities for career growth.

Required Qualifications: Prior experience in clinical research coordination or related fields
required. Experience working in an academic medical center preferred.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Human Subjects' Research - updates and submits documents required by the Institutional Board (IRB), and any other appropriate parties in order to obtain approval to conduct human subjects research. Obtains signatures and forwards documents and/or forms to appropriate destination and prepares and submits enrollment statistics as is required.
  • Research Activities – Screens and collects patient information which could entail abstraction of data from the patient chart and imaging reports. Audits and updates existing research databases. Conducts study visits, obtains and documents information within time frame specified. Collects, compiles and conducts preliminary analyses of data, statistics, and other materials for abstracts and manuscripts.
  • Recruitment - Screens potential patients for eligibility to existing studies and schedules visits. This may include researching and gathering information from the medical record or physician referral. Reviews elements of screening process with the Principal Investigator including inclusion/exclusion criteria, completed informed consent, and the patient/subject willingness to participate in the study.
  • Grants - Assists in the preparation of grant applications and related activities including developing grants proposals. Collects and organizes required paperwork for submission. Assists in the preparation of progress reports to aid in timely submission to funding agencies.
  • Budget - Drafts budgets and assists in the preparation of funding reports to agencies. Participates in projects and performs other duties as required.
