We are seeking a talented individual to serve as the Research Assistant for a groundbreaking longitudinal research study, conducted entirely online. This new, multidisciplinary, NIH-funded study will examine the risk of long-term cognitive and neuropsychiatric impairment and dementia from previous repetitive head impact exposure in contact/collision sports. HITSS will recruit and study 2400 former soccer players (1200 women, 1200 men) and 2400 former American football players (all men), across levels of play (youth, high school, college, or elite/professional), ages 40-75. HITSS participants will be co-enrolled in the existing internet-based Brain Health Registry (BHR) at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).
Qualifications
• Bachelors’ degree (or equivalent) in Psychology/Neuropsychology, Neuroscience, Public Health, Sports Medicine, Pre-Med track, or related field
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills
• Proven excellence as a team player
